This Belgian M1835 would be a great choice for a reenactor who wants something a little different. The Union Army imported thousands of these 70 caliber muskets at the beginning of the war, but there presence in the Civil War is often overlooked by the modern Living History enthusiast.
The lock is in great shape and has a great, honest patina with no evidence of a cleaning. The action is smooth and holds solid on both full and half cock.
The stock is very nice with only a few minor dings and dents but no cracks or chips.
The barrel is full length and in good condition with minimal rust and pitting in the bore.
The furniture is all original with the exception of an American-made reproduction ram rod.
Here's a chance to own an original piece in very usable condition for less than the price of an Italian reproduction!
