This Euroarms M1803 rifle was completely defarbed by Steve Krolick and features all period correct markings and finishes.
Steve started this project with a like new Euroarms M1803. He began the defarbing process be stripping, re-contouring, and staining the stock before applying several coats of hand rubbed finish. He finished the stock by applying the appropriate inspectors cartouches to the lock panel.
He continued by removing the modern markings from the barrel and stamping the proper proof marks in their place. He then stripped off the inaccurate spray-on brown finish and applied a period correct rust browning. The barrel was then sent to Bob Hoyt and a new match-grade .54 caliber liner was installed; making this gun ideal for competition.
As finishing touches, Steve replaced the factory rear sight with one that was larger and more closer to the originals. He also installed sling swivels - making the piece ready to military service.
The finished piece is a great example on the famous Harper's Ferry M1803 that should shoot as good as it looks.
