Here's a nice, lighly used Armi Sport Enfield that was defarbed by its former owner. The defarb features the removal of the modern Italian markings and their replacement with more historically correct stamps.
The musket is in good condition. The lock holds solid on both full and half cock and the lock plate was replaced with a period correct piece marked "1862 TOWER". The stock was reshaped and refinished and had no cracks or splits; only one a few very minor handling marks. Proper cartouches were also applied to the stock.
The barrel features the proper Birmingham proof marks and a nice armory bright finished finish. The bore is good with no pitting and only a few areas of light scattered rust.
The swivels and escutcheons were replaced with historically accurate pieces and the rest of the furniture is in nice shape and matches the gun well.
