Here's a great, original Gallager carbine. This carbine is all original from top to bottom and features the kind of "been there, done that" patina that's only found on real battle-used guns.
The stock is in great shape with crisp edges and no cracks or chips. The lock features great stamps and the hammer holds solid on both full and half cock. The action of the lever is very smooth and the barrel locks up tight without any wobble. The front hinge screw is missing. The flash hole in the receiver hasn't been burnt out.
The barrel features an original front sight, but the rear sight is missing and the dovetail was filled in at some point. The bore is very good - mostly shiny with strong rifling and only some minor "frost pitting" at the breech.
