This M1884 Carbine is all correct according to Al Frasca's book The .45-70 Springfield. It features are great patina and a relined barrel making it ready for some target practice or reenacting.
The stock is a legitimate carbine stock; not a cut down rifle stock. It is in great shape with no cracks or splits.
The lock plate is covered in an even light pitting, but the markings on the plate are still legible. The 3-notch tumbler holds solid on all positions.
The breech block locks up tight with no wobble. The extractor is intact and functional.
The barrel is full length and was relined by Bob Hoyt. The bore is near mint with excellent rifling. The rear sight is an original Buffington carbine sight.
