These little pistols are famously remembered as "the gun that killed Lincoln" as it was a Philadelphia Derringer that was used by John Wilkes Booth during that infamous night in Ford's Theater. These reproduction were made in Italy and sold during the late 1980's in the form of a kit. The previous owner of this kit did a wonderful job assembling it and even took the time to inlet the escutcheon plates into the stock just like the originals!
This pistol is in excellent unfired condition. There is no rust or pitting anywhere and the rifled barrel is in excellent condition. The stock only has a few minor handling marks. This pistol would make an excellent addition to anyone's Civil War display and would be a great little "plinker" at the range.
