Here's a great Richmond for a reenactor or someone who wants an original-looking Richmond for their collection, but doesn't want to $5,000+.
This musket was built from parts. The stock is from an original M1855. It shows some evidence of cleaning but is very sound with no chips or cracks.
The lock plate appears to be an original early model "high hump" Richmond plate that was re-stamped; although we're not making any claims as to its authenticity. The internal components are original and the action is smooth with a reliable half and full cock.
The barrel is also from a M1855. It is full length and has a dark bore with faint rifling. Both front and rear sights are original; although the rear sight leaves are reproductions.
The furniture is all original with the exception of a reproduction ramrod, middle band and Richmond brass butt plate
