Becky Baird has been one of our helpers for 15 years. We rely heavily on her skills to keep this 'hobby' business running as smoothly as it can with a volunteer staff.
Becky will be having surgery to reconstruct the jawbone that has begun to deteriorate from the lasting effects of radiation therapy in the 1950's. This will be a complex procedure and estimated to be a 10 hour surgery followed by a 10 day stay in the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. She would appreciate your prayers for successful surgery and recovery, especially on the day of surgery, July 28, 2010. We will attempt to keep you updated after the surgery. [Becky is the one who does the website but we will try. Bill Osborne - Lodgewood Mfg.]
Thank you to all who supported me thru my hospital stay and recovery. I am feeling much better and so humbled by the love and helpfulness of so many friends.
The surgery went well, complete recovery time will be about 6 months. After feeding tubes and tracheostomy were removed in mid August, recovery speed has doubled. I can now work on gaining back the weight I lost over the last month. I will be back to work for Winchester, though maybe not shooting yet.
