DEFARBING THE SPRINGFIELD 1861
1. Move visible Italian markings to bottom of barrel. $25.00
2. Stamp inspectors cartouches on stock $10.00
3. Replace the swivel screws with pins on Euroarms only $20.00
4. Oil and darken stock when necessary. $45.00

AS a note of interest, changing the barrel band to original will not line the 'U' up with the spring. The Italian barrel is a larger diameter than the original and to clear the barrel, the spring has to be set lower on the stock.
We do not have the tooling to change the markings on the lockplate or barrel.
