This rifled musket, with the lock marking "1861 Springfield" and an eagle, was the principal firearm of the Civil War. At the end of 1863, most federal infantrymen were armed with either the Springfield or the 1853 3-Band Enfield Musket. The one-piece barrel is forged steel, and the one-piece stock is oil-finished walnut. Features a swelled ramrod, like the original muskets. NSSA approved. Features a white satin frame, steel butt plate, steel trigger guard, and steel barrel bands. Brand new, in the box, Armisport 1861 direct from the manufacturer. This musket can be purchased stock from the factory or custom defarbed to make it as historically accurate as possible. Please select defarb options from the list above. Please note that our guns our "defarbed to order" meaning it may take up to 12-14 weeks to be completed based on the amount of work needed.
