Description
Here's a great Maynard for a shooter or collector. This carbine is in good shape. The action is nice and tight with a solid half and full cock. The barrel cams positively and locks up nicely against the receiver. The flash hole is nice and tight. The markings on the receiver are legible.
The barrel is full length with a set of skirmish leaves installed in the original sight base and a "tall shooter" front sight filed down for point of aim shooting at 50 yds. The bore is good with sharp, strong, rifling and no major pitting. It should make for a great shooter! The butt stock is in good shape with some minor dings and dents, and faint inspector's cartouches
This Maynard is a great representative sample of a good Civil War carbine-a great choice for any collection.
