Here's a beautiful Model 1882 Maynard is complete with three barrels and its original shipping crate!
This 1882 Maynard is in phenomenal condition. It's most outstanding feature is its striking receiver with visible color case hardening and crisp legible maker's stamps.
Included with this Maynard are three original barrels. Each match the gun perfectly. One of the barrels is .22 caliber, another is .35 caliber, and the third barrel is .44 caliber. Each of the barrels is in good shape with sharps rifling and some light frost pitting present in each of the three barrels, with the .22 caliber barrel showing a bit more wear than the others. Each of the barrels locks up tight when installed on the action.
The stock is also in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major dents.
Mechanically, this Maynard is perfect. The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock, and the firing pin is in good shape without any breakage or mushrooming.
The screw heads retain much of their original fire-blued finish.
This rifle also comes complete in its original shipping crate; complete with a label from William Read & Sons, addressed to the gun's original purchaser.
