Description

This British pattern P1853 musket was produced in Liege, Belgium under contact for the United States during the Civil War. These guns are identical to the P1853 Enfield, but lack the markings found on their English counterparts. The locks are unmarked with the exeption of a simple double line border running out the perimeter. The barrel has simple Liege proof marks.

This rare musket is in great shape. The lock functions perfectly with a solid half and full cock.

The stock is full length and in great condition with no damage and only minor burnout.

The barrel is full length with light pitting and strong rifling.

The furniture is all original and matching, including the ram rod; which is full length.
