Description

Here's a great P1858 Enfield that would be great for or a reenactor or could be made into a shooter if relined. The stock is in great shape with no cracks or splits with rotten spots and only a very minimal amount of burnout. The stock was stretched at the front band and an original nosecap was riveted on in the original style. There is the remnant of a contractor's name stamped on the belly of the stock but it's a little too faint to make out. The lock is in great shape with a solid half and full cock and great lock markings. The barrel is in good shape with some minor scattered pitting externally. Both front and rear sights are intact. The bore is fair with good rifling and scattered pitting throughout. The furniture is all original and matching, including the ramrod.
