Here's a great Pattern 1914 rifle made by Eddystone - that's right this is NOT a US Model 1917 chambered in .30-06, but an actual Pattern 1914 rifle chambered in .303. These rifles were made by Eddystone in the US under contract for the British government prior to America's entry into WWI. However, as tensions with Germany increased, the US ceased production for the British, re-chambered the gun in .30-06 and designated in the Model 1917.
This P14 is in excellent condition. It features a beautiful stock with no damage other than a few minor handling marks.
The bolt locks up tight and the action is smooth, and the action has great markings and no rust or pitting. The rear sight features a custom peep sight which has been slid over the ladder without modification to the original rear sight.
The barrel features an excellent bore with crisp rifling.
As an added bonus, this rifle comes with absolutely everything needed to load and shoot it; including, bullets, molds, reloading dies, .303 brass cases and some miscellaneous spare parts. No more hunting around for hard to find reloading components - this gun comes with all you'd ever need!.
