This awesome pistol is truly one of a kind. Made by Bentley of Birmingham England, this elegant pistol features a trigger guard that doubles as a hammer.

The stock is in excellent shape. Carved from figured English Walnut, there are no real cracks or chips anywhere. The delicate checkering on the handling remains nice and crisp; indicating the stock was never refinished.

The .62 caliber smooth bore barrel is in very good shape and features a subtle twist pattern and finely executed checkering on the breech and tang. The bore is smooth and in good shape with some areas of minor frost pitting.

The action of the hammer is wonderfully crisp with a solid half and full cock. The name and address of the maker are engraved on either side of the hammer along with a patent date of 1841.

More scroll engraving can be found on the hammer as well as the sterling silver trigger guard. The original nipple is intact and in excellent condition.
