Description

Here is an original, Frank Wesson single-shot breechloading carbine in very good condition. This .44 caliber, ‘two-trigger’ rimfire, Wesson military carbine is one of some 4,500 carbines produced at Worcester, Mass. It is all original from top to bottom, and features an attractive patina and great markings.

This carbine is in great shape. The stock is very good with no cracks or damages and nice crisp edges; indicating it was never refinished.

The action locks up well with no wiggle in the action. The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock.

The barrel is full length and features quite a bit of its original blued finish. The bore is good with strong rifling and no major rust or pitting.
