Here's a great First Generation Colt Single Action Army chambered in the popular (and accurate) .32-20 WCF cartridge, and professionally restored - ready for some serious "plinking".
The action is good with a solid "3 position" hammer that locks up solid when cocked. The action is reliable and very smooth; and the cylinder locks up well when cocked without any major wobble or end shake.
The original 4 3/4" barrel is in good condition with good rifling and no real rust or pitting to speak of. This pistol would make for a great shooter!
A correct early style front sight is intact at the muzzle; indicating that the barrel was not cut down. All markings, including the Colt Address and caliber marking are faint but legible.
Each of the cylinder's chambers are good with no pitting or damage.
All serial numbers match, and reveal this Colt's year of manufacture to be 1902.
A correct patent date can be found stamped on the frame, as well as vibrant, period correct bone-charcoal color case hardening.
The barrel, cylinder, back strap, and trigger guard were expertly finished with traditional 19th Century "rust bluing", and each of the screws features brilliant "nitre bluing".
This quintessential "cowboy gun" has a great overall look and great action. A perfect addition to any Colt enthusiast's collection.
