This attractive flint pistol is custom built using all American-made parts and styled after the "Queen Anne" pistols that were popular with pirates during the early 18th Century. The beautiful walnut stock was carved from a blank-not a kit and evidence of the builder's craftsmanship is evident everywhere. All the inletting is tight with no gaps. The curvature of the handle allows the gun to point very naturally-something uncommon for a flintlock pistol.

The .54 caliber, custom smoothbore brass "cannon" profile barrel of pistols from guns from the 18th Century. The barrel is in beautiful condition inside and out and features a nice natural patined finish which gives the pistol the look of a piece that has spent years as a trusty sidearm. The bore is very good with no rust or pitting - one of the advantages of a brass barrel!

Ignition is provided by a Jim Chamber's "Queen Anne" lock with a custom brass lock plate. Brass lock plates are historically accurate and are seen on numerous original pieces, as they don't pit or rust like traditional steel. Jim Chambers locks are considered to be the gold standard in terms of quality and reliability and this lock is no exception; featuring a reliable half and full cock, and a good shower of sparks with a sharp flint.

This pistol will be the pride of any shooter or reenactor who wants something that was built in the same style and with the same skill of original builders. Modern production flint pistols are all cookie-cutter copies of one another making this pistol a truly refreshing piece of craftsmanship for those looking for a sidearm.
