Description

Here's a great accurate copy of one of the most famous Confederate pistols made during the Civil War in correct 36 navy caliber. It is stamped with a complete Second Model range serial number on its barrel, cylinder and frame. The pistol reflects a mid production and would have seen extensive service throughout the war. Derivatives of the serial number, are found on the secondary parts. The grips are a dark red and varnished. The gun was finished "as new" and features period correct heat bluing - the same finish applied to the original Griswolds. A proper "twist stripe" was added to the cylinder which is a feature found on original Confederate revolvers whose cylinders were made of twisted iron.

This pistol was defarbed and reworked by Steve Krolick of Novelty Ordinance and is in good mechanical condition with a smooth action and a nice tight lockup. The bore is very good with no major rust or pitting. The Griswold is considered the "Holy Grail" of pistols by many Confederate pistol and here is your chance to own a near perfect reproduction of one of the Civil War's rarest pistols.
