This modified . 44 Navy revolver is truly one of a kind. Built to reflect the typical modifications done to many revolvers both during and after the Civil War, this "Belly Pistol" is the perfect close quarters self defense weapon.
The barrel was shortened to 3" and the loading lever was removed. The loading lever of the barrel was completely re-profiled to lighten the gun and to avoid any snagging while fast drawing from a pocket or petticoat. All the metal parts were then patined to give the revolver a well worn look and the grips have been lightly patined.
This little pistol has been shortened and smoothed out to become the ultimate accessory in a countless number of personas for the Living History Enthusiast. Mechanically excellent, with great rifling and crisp chambers, this pistol should be a faithful companion for years to come.
