Description

Here's a great piece that was build with supreme accuracy in mind. This Richmond carbine began life as a James River Armory semi-custom gun built in the 2000's and is in like-new condition. As a James River gun, this musket already featured a a ton of custom parts including a custom-shaped stock and American-made sights made by the late Rich Cross.

After purchasing the gun, this carbine's original owner sought to improve the gun's shootability even further; installing a custom match-grade barrel made by master barrel maker Dan Whitacre. The new barrel was fully glassbedded to insure no movement in the barrel channel. He also had the lock plate color case hardened using historically accurate bone-charcoal color case hardening.

Finally, he had the lock rebuilt and a trigger job done to insure a crisp 4lb pound.

The result is a beautiful custom Richmond carbine that looks as good as it shoots - and boy does it shoot! The gun's former owner reporter excellent accuracy and even sent a video of himself shooting off-hand at 150 yds to prove it.
