Description

This Danish 1867/96 Remington Rolling Block rifle is in excellent condition. These rifles were made under license in Copenhagen and have gained a reputation for being some of the highest quality Rolling Blocks ever built. Chambered in 11.7 x 42R, ammunition for these guns can easily be made by fireforming .45-70 cases (there's quite a bit of info online regarding how this is done).

This particular example is very good and features a great set of stocks with no cracks or damage.

The breech retains its original case hardened finish which has faded to a silver color. The breech block works very well, and locks up tightly without any "slop". The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock, and the extractor is intact and functional.

The barrel is full length and features most of its original blued finish. Both the front and rear sights are intact and unmodified.

The bore and chamber are excellent with strong rifling and no rust or pitting.

The furniture is all original and in good condition.
