Here's an excellent Smith Carbine. This carbine is in excellent condition; retaining most of its original finish and featuring a mint bore.

The receiver is in excellent condition with a faded color case hardened finish without any rust or pitting. The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock and the maker's stamps are crisp and legible. The saddle bar and ring are original and in good condition. The stocks are in great shape with most of their original finish remaining. A very crisp inspector's cartouche is still legible on the wrist.

The barrel has excellent bluing with no pits. Both front and rear sights are original and in good condition. The top strap and trigger guard retain most of their original fire-bluing. The bore is absolutely phenomenal and appear to be unfired. There is no rust or pitting anywhere. The lock up between the barrel and receiver is extremely solid with no wiggle whatsoever.

This is an excellent collector grade Smith that could certainly be taken to the range from time to time. Smiths in this condition are getting very difficult to find and finding one in this price range is nearly unheard-of. Don't let this one get away!
