This first generation Parker Hale was made in the 1970's by Parker Hale of Birmingham, England. These English-made reproductions are renowned for their match-grade progressive-depth barrels that were made with the original machinery used to made Enfield muskets in the 1860's.
The lock is in good shape with most of its original color case hardening. The hammer holds solid with a positive half and full cock. The stock is in solid shape with several handling marks but no cracks or chips. The bore is very good with sharp rifling and some moderate pitting about 4" from the muzzle.
The furniture is all intact and original and a "tall shooter" front sight has been added to the muzzle for point-of-aim shooting at 50 yds.
Included with this rifle is a CS-style canvas sling.
