Forehand & Wadsworth "Swamp Angel" Bulldog Revolver

Here's a great example of an American "Bulldog" Revolver. The Bulldog revolver was developed in Britain during the latter half of the 19th Century, but the term would be applied to a variety of revolvers in a variety of chambers. Generally, the bulldog pistol is characterized as a large caliber, concealable, revolver with a birds head grip and "snubnose" barrel.

This particular example was made by Forehand & Wadsworth in Worcester MA. It is chambered in .41 rimfire and marketed under the moniker "Swamp Angel". 

It is in excellent condition with a very good original nickeled finish. The rosewood grips are original and free from any cracks or damage. 

The action is very smooth with a positive lock up when the hammer is drawn to full cock.
