Gunsmithing & Restorations
Lodgewood MFG offers a full line of complete gunsmithing and repair services. Unlike most gunsmith shops we ONLY work on antique guns. This allows us to remain intimately familiar with both the look and function of an extremely wide variety of antique guns. By choosing to send your antique firearm to a shop that only works on pre-1945 guns, you are insuring that the gunsmith who services your valuable collectible is an expert in how the gun should both look and function.
We have extensive knowledge of antique firearms actions and have over 15 years of professional gunsmithing experience. We are not "garage gunsmiths" who fix deer rifles on nights and weekends for extra beer money. All firearms sent to Lodgewood MFG are personally repaired in-house by the shop's owner David Stavlo. David is a licensed gunsmith who has devoted his life to honing his craft. David learned his profession the traditional way - through apprenticeships with the old master gunsmiths of the bygone era. This allowed David to gain old world knowledge through actual hands-on experience rather than the online courses currently offered by modern "gunsmith schools". As a result, we are able to offer a complete range of gunsmithing and restoration services. From marking restoration and traditional bone-charcoal color case hardening, to barrel manufacturing and complete custom builds.
We have invested in the finest machinery and tooling, as well as an extensive research library to insure that the weapons serviced in our shop aren't just fixed, but fixed the right way. David's gunsmithing work has been featured in numerous published works including Guns of the Old West and American Rifleman magazines, as well as television and film including Guns and Ammo TV and AMC's The Son starring Pierce Brosnan.
