Here's a great M1803 Harper's Ferry Rifle which was neatly converted to percussion.

Overall, this rifle is in great condition - far above average. The stock is very good - sound with nicely defined lock panels. There is no real damage anywhere other than some minor burnout around the nipple drum. There is a small repair around the breech plug tang (see photos).

The lock is good with a solid half and full cock and great Harper's Ferry markings. The percussion conversion work is very well executed and was likely done during the 1840's-1860's. The lock works well with a reliable half and full cock. The nipple is a modern replacement

The barrel is full length and the rib is solidly attached with no evidence of having been re-soldered. The .54 bore was relined by Bob Hoyt and features strong rifling with no major rust or pitting. The front and rear sights are both reproductions.

The ram rod and furniture are all original and matching.
