Description

This original Pomeroy M1816 reconversion is in excellent condition with a very nice stock and all original furniture.

The lock is nicely stamped with very crisp markings and no rust or pitting. The cock, frizzen, frizzen spring, and pan are reproductions which were aged perfectly to match the lock. The cock holds solid on both full and half cock and the frizzen spring is nice and crisp.

The barrel was very neatly re-converted back to flint; and no evidence of the original percussion bolster can be seen. The bore is good with no major pitting and some light surface rust throughout.

The stock is the real star of this piece. It is all original with wonderfully crisp edges and no chips, cracks or burnout. The original inspector's cartouches are still very visible on the lock panel and stock comb.

The furniture is all original including the ramrod.
