Description

This original M1854 Lorenz is in excellent condition. It is all original with the exception of a period replacement ram rod.

The lock has a nice even patina and hold the hammer holds solid on both full and half cock.

The beech stock is in very good shape without the "wrist-break" found on many other Lorenz rifles

The barrel is full length and features a long range rear sight in excellent condition. The bore is good with strong rifling and some scattered areas of surface rust.

The furniture is all original, and an original bayonet is included with this rifle which fits well and matches nicely.

This is a great original Lorenz for a price that is comparable to that of an Italian reproduction.
