Original mainspring for m1855 Springfield and Harper's Ferry. This is the the ONLY mainspring that can be put into an original 1855 that will allow the tape primer parts to function.
*A note about springs: We test ALL of our springs, whether reproduction or original, against poor tempering, cracks, or other defects to insure proper functionality and lasting durability. However, improper installation or abuse can/will cause any spring to fail. For these reasons we cannot accept the return of any broken or damaged springs for refund/replacement.
