Here's a complete original Starr Double Action Army revolver which is bargain priced for the collector on a budget. This Starr is all original with the exception of the grips, and thumb screws, which are nicely aged reproductions. Additionally, the back strap was broken at one point and has been nicely welded back together.

Mechanically this Starr is in good condition with a functional action. However, the hand does not always advance the cylinder reliably, but will work five times out of six. The hammer holds reliably on both full and half cock. Internally, the bore and chambers are in good condition. The bore has strong rifling with some darkness in the grooves The lock up fairly tight with minimal cylinder wobble.

Externally, this revolver displays some scattered pitting, and all the manufacturer's stamps on martial markings are crisp and legible. The grips are solid and in good shape with no cracks or chips.

This original Starr is priced similarly to what a used Pietta reproduction sells for! Don't wait on this one!
