Description

This M1863 is all original and correct. The stock and hardware both have a great patina with minimal rust and pitting.

The lock is in excellent condition with crisp legible stamps. The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock.

The barrel is in good shape with a smooth, even patina. The date on the breech is intact, but partially obscured. The VP and Eagle stamps are crisp and legible. The barrel is full length and both front and rear sights are intact and in good condition. The bore is fair with strong rifling and some scattered pitting throughout.

The stock is in great condition. There are no chips or rotten spots anywhere, and no other areas of damage. The original inspectors cartouches on the left counterpane are faint but legible.

The furniture is all original and with an excellent patina. The original nipple is in excellent condition. The ramrod is original and full length.

This '63 would be a great addition to anyone's US musket collection.
