Description
This original M1866 "2nd Allin" rifle is in great shape and all original.
The lock has a nice, crisp action that holds solid on both full and half cock. The lock plate markings are nice and legible with no pitting. The barrel also has strong stamps. The "trapdoor" action works perfectly and the extractor is intact and functional. The barrel is still full length and both the front and rear sight are original and in good condition. The bore and chamber are in excellent shape with no rust or pitting and excellent rifling .
The stock is in excellent condition with nice edges and visible cartouches. There are no cracks, or rotten spots anywhere. The furniture is all original and matching; including the cleaning rod, which is full length This 50-70 would be a great shooter or collector's piece.
