Description
This original M1873 "Trapdoor" rifle is in good shape and all original. The lock has a nice, crisp action that holds solid on both full and half cock. The lock plate still retains a lot of its original bluing and has crisp, legible markings. The barrel also has strong stamps. The "trapdoor" action works perfectly and the extractor is intact and functional. The barrel is still full length and both the front and rear sight are original and in excellent condition. The bore and chamber are in good shape with strong rifling and no pitting.
The furniture is all original and matching.
The stock is in good condition with nice edges and a legible "P" cartouche on the wrist.
