Description

Here's a great rifle for a reenactor or skirmisher. This original P1856 rifle features a "new" Euroarms Enfield barrel, making it a great candidate for shooting or hardcore reenacting.

The stock is in great condition with a nice dark finish. There are no cracks or splits anywhere and the lock panels are nice and crisp, indicating that the stock was never sanded or refinished.

The lock is marked "V&R Blakemore" and features a crisp half and full cock. The lock has some minor "salt-and-pepper"pitting, but the markings remain crisp.

The barrel was made by Euroarms and fits the barrel nicely. The muzzle features a "tall shooter" front sight and removable sight protector. The bore is excellent with no rust or pitting.

The furniture is original with the exception of the rear swivel and ramrod, which are both replacements.

These highly sought after iron mounted Enfields were imported in large numbers by the Confederacy, making this gun the perfect candidate for any Johnny Reb who wants a musket he can take to the battlefield AND the firing range
