Here's an opportunity to own a very handsome reproduction which you'll be unlikely to ever run across elsewhere. This 18th Century Scottish pistol was made from molds taken from an original antique pistol. The parts were offered assembled as castings through the Rifle Shoppe in Oklahoma.

This kit was expertly assembled and that craftsmanship is evidenced by the pistols form and function. The cock holds solid in both positions and functions with a "horizontal sear" and unique mechanism that is unique to original Scottish pistols and beautifully replicated on this reproduction. The action of the lock is very reliable with a hot shower of sparks being thrown with each pull of the trigger.

The metal stock fits the barrel ad lock perfectly and was heat blued like many originals. The barrel features a beautiful ribbed breech and delicate scroll engraving throughout.

The furniture is all functional and nicely finished; including the brass oiler that is screwed into the handle.

The Rifle Shoppe offers this gun in kit for for nearly $900 with a waiting period of close to a year; making this fully assembled and functional piece a real steal. This American-made pistol is sure to be the pride of any Highlander.
