Description
This Sharps and Hankins M1862 Army Carbine is in excellent condition. It is all complete and functional.
The action locks up well and the lever lock is intact and functional - another rare feature; as this small little catch is often found broken on other carbines. The hammer holds solid on both full and half cock, and the hammer mounted firing pin is in good condition with no damage.
The barrel slides back and forth on the action with ever opening and closing of the lever.
The butt stock is in good condition with no cracks or splits.
The front and rear sight are both intact and functional, and the the bore is good with strong rifling and no major pitting.
