Here's a nice, honest original Smith! It is all original with a honest patina. The action is smooth; holding solid on full and half cock. The lock up is quite positive with only a very minimal amount of "wiggle" between the receiver and barrel. The receiver has great, legible markings.

The bore is good with strong rifling and some minor scattered rust and pitting thoughout. The flash hole is fairly tight, with minimal "ovaling" from shooting. The sights are original, and the rear sight retains its original slide - a rare feature for a Smith!

The stocks are in good shape with only a few scattered dings and dents. A crack runs through the bottom of wrist from repeated opening and closing the action, and there is some wood loss near the top of the wrist - a feature common to most Smith Carbines.
