This beautiful Snider Conversion Musket is about as nice as they come! All original from top to bottom, this British breech loader would be a great choice for any shooter or collector.

The stock is excellent with all of its original finish remaining and wonderfully crisp cartouches. The buttstock proudly bears a Royal Manufactory Enfield Roundel with a First Class mark; meaning that this was a top quality rifle when it was built some 156 years ago. There are no cracks or chips anywhere and the lock panels are beautifully crisp and sharp. The stock also has a "Dominion of Canada" "DC in a diamond" marking on the left side of the butt.

The hardware is in fantastic condition with 98% of the original bluing remaining on the barrel and receiver and lock.

The bore is near mint and absolutely beautiful with nice crisp rifling. The toggle action of the breech block is smooth and the lock up is nice and solid.

Included with this rifle are an original nipple protector and white painted sling.

The furniture is all original with the exception of a reproduction ramrod. This wonderful Snider is in pristine condition; a wonderful example of early breechloading technology.
