Description
Here's a nice M1870 trapdoor. This 50-70 is all original including the cleaning rod.
The stock is in great shape with no cracks or splits. The lock has a smooth and solid half and full cock.
The barrel is in nice shape with great markings. The trapdoor action is nice and smooth with a tight lock up and the extractor is functional. The bore is good with strong rifling and some areas of light surface rust.
The furniture is in nice shape and both front and rear sights are intact and unmodified.
Included with this musket are an original leather sling and bayonet with scabbard (the bayonet is correct for this 1870, despite the fact that its been installed in a later .45-70 scabbard).
