These beautiful silver and brass mounted flintlock pistols were commissioned by the U.S. Historical Society to commemorate the Bicentennial. They are a perfect copy of the set of pistols used by Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr during the famous duel in 1804 that would ultimately end with Hamilton's death.

These reproduction pistol are perfect firing replicas of the originals. Like the originals they are mounted with sterling silver with brass forends; giving them a wonderful balance.

Perhaps the most astounding feature of these pistols is the degree of hand work that went into their production. The locks were hand fit and tuned. The barrels were hand filed, polished, and engraved. And the stocks were hand checkered and relief carved. These aren't mass produced CNC-copied pieces, but individual works of art in their own right. Each pistol is unique and reflects the influence of the craftsman who assembled it.

These pistol are in mint condition and appear to be unfired as evidenced by their untarnished bores. Both locks work perfectly and both guns feature beautifully carved walnut stocks without any damage other than a few handling marks. These pistols are set into a beautiful velvet lined solid mahogany case.
