Our "premium" musket sling is hand crafted by C.A. Davisson Leatherworks in Texas; a company that specializes in reproducing Civil War military leather good. It is an exact copy of the standard U.S. Model 1855 sling that was issued with nearly every musket and rifle used during the war. It features hand made hardware and it not dyed or oiled; just like the originals. It is made of lightweight leather; much thinner than other reproductions. This again, is a feature found on original slings as most reproduction slings are made from much heavier leather than what was used on originals. These slings are perfect for a discerning reenactor or collector who needs a historically accurate sling to go with his defarbed or original weapon.
