Original main spring for the 1860/1865 Spencer carbine and rifle. Excellent condition.

*A Note on Installing Spencer Mainsprings: Some care must be taken when installing Spencer main springs as it is easy to destroy the spring if improper tools/techniques are used. It is crucial to only compress the main body of the spring when installing in a lock. This should be done with a main spring vice. It is absolutely vital to avoid any compression of the sear limb as it will over stress it and render the entire spring useless. We inspect and function test each of these original springs in an original lock before shipping to insure there are no cracks or flaws. For this reason, we will not accept returns/exchanges on any Spencer main springs for any reason.
