Here's a great little original pocket pistol. This original Smith and Wesson revolver is in great shape with most of its original finish remaining, These Smith and Wesson Pistols were the first in the world to feature modern "bored through" cylinders that accepted modern ammunition. This particular revolver is chambered in the popular .22 short.

This revolver remains in excellent condition. It features nearly 70% of its original silver plating on the frame. This finish was delicate and rubbed off easily; leaving an overwhelming majority of original pocket Smiths on the market today with brass colored frames. Finding an original brass framed S&W with any of its original plating intact is fairly hard to do, - it's no exaggeration to say that this is the nicest pocket S&W we've ever had. The original bluing on the barrel and cylinder is very much intact; with a majority beginning to "plum" while the protected areas are still vibrant blue. The cylinder locks up nicely and the hammer locks back nicely on full cock (these S&W "tip-ups" didn't have a half cock.). The chambers are in great shape with minimal pitting.

The lock up between the barrel and the receive is tight with minimal side-to-side play. The bore is and chambers are very nice with no rust or pitting.

The original rosewood grips are in excellent condition. This revolver is in great shape and would make for an excellent addition to anyone's vest pocket.
