Description

This all original M1855 Springfield is in fantastic condition. All original right done to the nipple. The stock is in wonderful shape with no cracks, splits or chips. All metal parts are armory bright and all stamps are deep and legible including the VP and EAGLE proof marks and date stamp on the breech. The bore is in excellent condition with deep, crisp rifling, however the last 4 inches of the barrel have been reamed smooth, with the remainder of the barrel in fantastic condition. The lock works flawlessly and all the tape primer parts are present and functional. Original rear sight is in great shape and functional-not frozen.
