Description
This original Colt M1861 Special musket is in great condition and is all original with the exception of a reproduction ramrod.
The stock is very good with no cracks or splits.
The lock is a desirable early date (1862) with great markings and no rust or pitting. The action of the lock is smooth with a reliable half and full cock.
The barrel is dated 1864 and is full length and the in very good condition inside and out. The bore has great rifling with no major pitting. Both front and rear sights are original and in good condition.
