Description

This original M1803 Harper's Ferry rifle is all original and a great candidate for a restoration.

The lock was converted to percussion sometime during the mid 19th Century. The lock functions correctly with a solid half and full cock. The lock markings are legible.

The stock is in overall good condition and shows some evidence of refinishing. There are a few cracks on the bell of the butt stock.

The barrel was reamed smooth and was shortened by about 6".

All the furniture is intact and original, and the patch box latch is functional.
