Description

This original 2nd model Burnside carbine is in great shape with a beautiful patina. The stock is excellent with no cracks or splits. The lock functions perfectly with a nice crisp lock up on both full and half cock. The lock plate stamps are crisp and legible. The receiver and barrel have a nice patina with no rust or pitting. Both front and rear sights are present and unmodified. The bore is in great shape strong rifling and only a little light pitting in the grooves. The breech block and receiver lock up tightly and neither has any corrosion or pitting.

This is an excellent example of an extremely rare carbine. This is the first 2nd model Burnside that we've had the opportunity to sell in the last 10 years and we wouldn't be surprised if it was another 10 before we saw another in this kind of condition!
